Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actor and writer, is popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island in 1960s. Her stage career began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions before making it big on the national theatre area with Li'l abner's in 1957. The album was released by her Too Late for Tina the following year. Louise first made it to Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden, in God's Small Acre a 1957 drama film. This film became an enormous success and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's student. The year 1964 saw her signing to CBS and played Ginger Grant. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood as well as Broadway in roles that were more serious in order to dispel her image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series and Sanctuary but she also was a successful television director with several series including Supernatural and The 100. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for childhood and adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the part and has been settling down there ever since.
