Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is a American as well as a Canadian music producer and singer. She has more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music is classified as folk and alternative rock. However, they also have influences of jazz hip hop punk, and Funk. Ani diFranco was the first person to create her own record label in the year 1990. Ani is widely considered as one of the feminist icons. DiFranco was born on September 23, 1970 in New York City, York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The mother of her is from Montreal and her father comes from Italian roots. Ani diFranco composed and performed the song 32 Flavors. The song is featured on her sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl released in 1995. A variation of the song can be heard on the soundtrack for 1999's Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate. In 2013, DiFranco apologised after it was announced that she planned to host 3 days of workshops at an old Louisiana slavery plantation. However, many (including this report) didn't detect remorse. DiFranco released a new apology several days afterward. Though she's most well-known as Little Folksinger, her style covers a variety of styles. The collaborators she has with her range from Pete Seeger and Chuck D to Prince. She lives in New Orleans. Ani DiFranco has a relationship with Kristen Ford. Her first songs were written at the age of fourteen. They were performed in bars and cafes throughout her teenage years. DiFranco started taking classes in Buffalo State College at age sixteen after having graduated from the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts.
