Luciana Paoluzzi, as well as Maria Rota Paoluzzi were raised in Rome. Luciana Paoluzzi is the child of Manlio Paoluzzi (an Italian military officer) as well as Maria Rota Paoluzzi (a mistress to Benito Mussolini). There is no information available on having siblings. Luciana attended a local high school prior to matriculating into the Scientific Academy of Milan in 1955. Luciana was one of only two females in the class. Luciana started out as fashion models after only two years. Her career changed soon afterward, as by chance, she got her first role as a character in Three Coins in the Fountain. Brett Halsey - an actor was her first husband. After the wedding in 1960 they recorded a film called Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana had custody of Charles born on 13 June 1961. The couple divorced the following year. Between 1962 and 1970 Luciana had a relationship with Tony Athony who was an actor and producer who was influenced by her work in the film Green Slime and based on his script and production of his own hybrid Spaghetti Western for which he gained some recognition.
