sylvester stallone-4-1024x1024Stallone was born at an unnamed hospital for the poor located in the Hell's Kitchen area of New York City. His birth was complicated by forceps injuries which led to injury to the facial nerve. This left him with a droopy eyelid and speech problems. After spending a lot of his infancy in boarding care, Stallone rejoined his family and moved with them to Maryland at the age of five. Stallone was raised by his father after his divorce in the year 1957. But at 15 he married his mother and moved to Philadelphia. He attended a private institution specifically for troubled teenagers due to his previous history of being kicked out of schools.
